ALSTON GARDNER

Chairman

Alston is an active investor in early-stage technology companies through DGI Capital and is a co-founder and board member at Fulcrum Equity Partners, an Atlanta-based growth equity fund. Alston also serves as an advisor to Hatteras Venture Partners in Durham, NC.  Alston and his wife, Barb Lee have four adult daughters and split time between New York and Chapel Hill, NC.

IAN BOSWELL

Ian Boswell is an American professional road racing cyclist, who last rode for UCI World Tour Team Katusha–Alpecin. A professional since 2010, Boswell has formerly competed with Bissell (2010), Bontrager–Livestrong (2011–2012), Argos–Shimano (2012) and Team Sky (2013–2017). Ian has raced in all 3 Grand Tours.  Ian is now an employee at Wahoo Fitness and continues to race his bike as a gravel rider. He and his wife live in Vermont and recently had their first child.

DENNIS CRUMPLER

Dennis has several decades of experience building and managing successful Atlanta based technology companies, including Sales Technologies, XcelleNet, TechDiscovery, and Reveille Software. Since 2000, Dennis has been involved in environmentally responsible real estate development in North Carolina and Virginia, including The Coves at Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia. Dennis is a graduate of MIT (BS'75) and Harvard University (MBA'82), and served as a US ARMY officer from 1975-79. He is married and has two grown children living in Colorado and Illinois.

DANIEL ESTEVEZ

Daniel Estevez is the owner of Families Together an Adult Day Health Center for disabled adults and seniors located in Leicester, MA.  Daniel was a professional cyclist and a member of Hot Tubes from 2003-2007. Following his first cycling career, he entered college and graduated from Clark University with a Business Management degree. While in college and after graduation he worked in the human services field, first as a Case Manager and Youth Mentor and later as a Service Coordinator for the Department of Children and Families services. Daniel re-started his cycling career in 2019 and won the 2021 Elite Road and Criterium National Championships.

WILL FRISCHKORN

Will was a member of 1996-97 Hot Tubes teams and then went on to a successful 10-year career in professional cycling. He competed internationally for the Mercury, Saturn, Colavita, and most recently Garmin-Slipstream professional programs. He competed in the 2008 Tour de France placing 2nd on stage 3. Other career highlights include a victory in the 2007 Univest Grand Prix, 2nd in the overall classification in the 2007 Tour of Missouri, and overall general classification victories in the 2003 Tour of the Delta, 2004 Colorado Cyclist Classic, and the 2007 Tour of the Bahamas. Will claimed over a dozen national championships and by his late 20s retired from cycling to move into his other passions, food and wine. In 2011 Will and his wife Coral started Cured, a specialty cheese, meat and wine market in his adopted town of Boulder, Colorado, selling it in 2021 to spend more time with their two boys and focus on other passions. He is involved with a number of local food related non-profits and occasionally sneaks in a ride with the local pros in Boulder. He is responsible for the Hot Tubes alumni relations and helps with cycling industry connections.

STEPHEN HOLOWESKO

Stephen is a partner at a Nassau, Bahamas-based hedge fund. His career stops include teaching English in Japan, Television Tokyo’s Washington, DC bureau, and Goldman Sachs, in New York and London. He is also the founder of the Pirate Republic Brewery in Nassau. He and his sister co-founded the Ride for Hope Bahamas, a cancer-related charity in The Bahamas. He is a graduate of Georgetown University. Stephen and his wife, Alessandra, four kids and two dogs live in Nassau, The Bahamas. His eldest son, Liam, joined the Hot Tubes Development Team in 2013 and was the US Junior (13-14) national time trial champion in 2014.

JEFF MUIR

Jeff is the founder and Managing Partner of Fulcrum Equity Partners in Atlanta. Prior to Fulcrum, Mr. Muir was COO of On Target and began his career as an attorney with the Atlanta law firm of Alston & Bird. He was a member of the world-renowned 1971 Indiana University swim team before transferring to the University of Georgia. He holds a B.A. and law degree from the University of Georgia, both with honors. Prior to law school, he served as an intelligence officer in the U.S. Air Force and was also a member of the U.S. Modern Pentathlon National Team. He and his wife Doris live in Atlanta and host Hot Tubes annual spring training camp at their home near Lake Burton, GA.

RYAN TIÉ

Ryan was a member of the 1993 Hot Tubes team. He later went on to win the 1996 Collegiate National Road Race Championship in San Luis Obisbo, CA and ride for the U.S. National Cycling Team in 1997 while earning his B.A. from the University of Colorado at Boulder.  Today, Ryan serves as Principal of Callaway Capital Management where he is responsible for investment process management, business development, and external partnerships.  Prior to joining CCM, Mr. Tié was Chief Investment Officer of Lepercq de Neuflize Asset Management, a New York-based investment firm serving a concentrated group of high-net-worth families and related charities.  He is currently a member of the investment committee for Northfield Mount Hermon School. Ryan and his wife Stacey have two children and live in Darien, CT.
